Our Kids Ministry

At FKBC, we are passionate about our ministry to kids and we know that this is close to the heart of Christ, (Matt 19:14).  We believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children, so we, as a church, aim to come alongside and support parents in this great task. We seek to do this by:

• Meeting weekly (Sunday 9:30-10:30am) in age appropriate classes.

• Providing a safe and welcoming environment for all our children.

• Teaching a curriculum that presents the big unifying story of the Bible and keeps Christ at the center.

• Sending home material that parents can use in their discipling of their kids.

• Providing childcare during our Sunday Worship Service for children pre-school age and below.

Our Policies

We seek to ensure the safety and well-being of every student, teacher, and volunteer at Floyds Knobs Baptist. Each volunteer, teacher, and staff member is required to participate in a six-step interview and approval process and complete a course in Abuse Awareness and Prevention.

We have a thorough child protection policy, here are just a few of the most important policies that we think you’ll want to know.

• We follow a strict check-in and check-out policy for volunteers and children.

• We operate by a well-child policy, meaning that any child that is visibly unwell cannot participate in our kids ministry.

• We follow the two-adult rule, meaning that the actions of every adult must be in view of another adult at all times.

• We follow strict volunteer-to-child ratios.

• We have a “no outside food or drink” policy at FKBC.
