Our Staff

My family moved around a lot when I was growing up, but I spent formative years in Harrisburg, NC. I was raised by believing parents and came to personal faith in Jesus Christ at a young age through their witness. During college, I grew to desire vocational ministry, so after graduation I moved to Louisville, KY to pursue education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where I completed a Master of Divinity (MDiv) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in New Testament. During most of these years, I worked with middle and high school students at Clifton Baptist Church. I took the role of Lead Pastor at Floyds Knobs Baptist Church in 2021 and love being part of this family! My role is providing week-by-week preaching, pastoral care, and prayer to our church family as we seek to follow Jesus together. I'm married to Emily, and have two young children.

Coye Still

Lead Pastor

I was born and raised in South Mississippi. I first heard and responded to the Gospel because a friend from school invited me to attend his church's Youth Ministry gathering. As I grew in my faith, the Lord gave me a strong desire to teach and preach His word. I went on to pursue theological education at both the University of Mobile and Southern Seminary. Along the way, the Lord graciously provided me the opportunities to serve vocationally in both Youth and College Ministry and to teach at a Classical Christian School. He also blessed me with my wonderful wife Paige and our beautiful daughter. I came on staff at Floyds Knobs Baptist Church in February of 2022, and I have the privilege of overseeing our church's Youth Ministry here.

Evan Gartman

Pastoral Assistant of Youth Ministries

I was born overseas in Dunoon, Scotland but spent most of my childhood and early adult life in the great State of Alaska. I came to faith in Jesus Christ at a young age through the faithful witness of my parents. The Lord put the desire on my heart to be in vocational ministry after spending many years in Alaska in a career managing at a manufacturing company. My wife and I moved to southern California in 2012 where I earned a degree in Biblical Counseling at The Master’s University, and in 2018, we moved to southern Indiana where I studied Worship Leadership at Southern Seminary. I have served in music ministry at nearly every church I’ve attended as a volunteer or on staff, and I joined the staff of Floyds Knobs Baptist Church in December, 2021 as the Pastoral Assistant of Worship Ministries where I have the blessed privilege of helping our pastor plan worship services and providing leadership in music to our church family during our Sunday morning gatherings. I married Tricia, my high school sweetheart, in August of 2000, and we have three lovely children.

Pastoral Assistant of Worship Ministries

I was raised in a Christian home in Lebanon, Indiana. I came to personal faith in Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized in my home church shortly after. I attended Pensacola Christian College where I graduated with a B.A. in Bible, Youth Ministry concentration and a Master of Science in Elementary Education. I taught various elementary grades in a Christian school in Memphis, Tennessee before taking the position of Elementary Principal/Assistant School Principal. It was during that time that I began to love the organizational and detailed structure of administration. I moved to the southern Indiana area and began attending Floyds Knobs Baptist Church in 2017, and joined the staff in early 2019. As Director of Operations, I focus on overseeing and managing the day-to-day administrative, logistical, financial, and organizational aspects of the church.

Dawn Mchargue

Director of Operations

I am from Chandler, Oklahoma where I was raised in a Christian home. I came to personal faith in Christ through the witness of a church member at the age of 8 and was baptized shortly thereafter. My education and preparation for ministry includes a degree in Philosophy from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary. I began attending FKBC in September of 2021, became a member in March of 2022, and joined the staff in July of 2024. This church has become a second family for me, which is exactly what I needed in the Louisville area. In my role as Pastoral Resident, I lead our kid's ministry, our outreach efforts to the community, and our outreach efforts to our preschool, Kids of The Kingdom.
